Designers camera application Cap

“If we had a camera application that
designers only use, what is different like?”

Cap design and development by Fax designer.
We took advantage of the subjective language of Fax designers for
iPhone and we have newly reinterpreted application design and UI with
the different perspective from the conventional one. Design concept is
“This is enough” based on the modernism, which means it does not want to
have quite a lot of functions with a fixed frame.
Moreover, this is the digital content-product created based on the design,
idea planning to maximize the efficiency of the application and
it was edited, edited, and edited.


Cap has the following three characteristic categories ;

1. A completely different design concept from existing camera apps.
2. It suggests usability which is different from existing camera apps.
3. How to acquire outputs that are different from existing camera apps.

From the three characteristic categories above,
the users can gain a unique experience.

1. Design lay-out

We have fully planned, designed and developed
this camera application in a designer’s perspective regarding
the usability, photo outputs of iPhone, overall design of
the camera app and its UI, including even the trivial design details of UI.
We have even designed up to single pixel unit for the icons and
the visual factors related to all the functions, and
also designed the font for the production.
As this application has been produced to improve the overall design for use,
the user can experience completely different atmosphere than
the existing camera application.

2. UI design

From a designers perspective, we think it would deteriorate
the usability when too many functions are shown on the screen.
For this reason, this program can display or make
the buttons disappear on the screen if required.
In order to enjoy and conveniently use
the camera application that suits your taste,
you can customize or set up the buttons and the functions for your favorite.

3. Style

After taking normal photo outputs, the designers use
the basic filter step, Color, Sharpness, and Contrast to modify them.
You can get the photo outputs just like the ones modified by
the professional designers because we have already
applied these filters to this application.
Besides, in Selfie mode, it has been configured to get
the photos with separate filter value for portrait.
Moreover, it can be switched to silent camera mode,
so you can customize it according to your environment.
